I never used mine very often so I gave it to my son when he went to university last September. He uses it for everything including fish fingers.

A Foreman grill does nothing better than any standard piece of cooking equipment, and in many occasions, does several things worse.

Get a cast iron griddle pan from TKMaxx for a couple of quid, and learn to love the controlled heat and flavour added by the fat that is in your food. Fat = flavour, use a real butches and buy meat with a bit of fat on it to see what you've been missing.

I have a cast iron griddle but I don't think it would work on my glass electric hob, would it?

I love my GF and it has been great for the kids to cook on too.

It is a bit of a faff cleaning it but to be honest it doesn't really bother me.

I got mine really cheap too as it was sold to me by someone who didn't want it. Brand new too. Two years on I use it nearly every day.

    I love my GF.

I also love the fact that it cooks chicken quickly *and* that the outside goes crispy. I often do chinese food at home and I usually do the chicken in the GF then slice itup to add to the stir fry at the last minute.

Cleaning - I've found that a wad of wet kitchen roll left inside it while it's cooling down (unplug it first!) means cleaning is a breeze.

I have had our George Grill and Griddle for about 4 or 5 years now and wouldnt part with it for the world.
I paid £19.99 +vat from Makro and it does what it says on the box and more.
In the summer we take it out in the garden and use it instead of messing around with a BBQ.
The duel temperature controls are fantastic and cooks everything perfectly.
pork chops, lamb chops, steak, chicken breasts, gammon steaks, Bacon, Hash Browns, even eggs (on flat griddle) all cook perfect with nothing burnt or undercooked either :)
