Hello, I'm looking to sell my car and wanted to know if anyone has any advice on the best places to advertise ebay/autotrader/local paper etc?
Many Thanks.

When I advertised my car on the autotrader website I got loads of interest. Although after the first visitor turned out to be a complete freak I couldn't be bothered to sell privately and sold it to the dealership.

    Depends on the car.
If it's a normal family sized car that's worth a "normal" amount of money then I'd say AutoTrader - since it's the first place I would look to buy a "normal" car.
If it's a classic or sports model then an appropriate magazine eg TopMarques
If it's a higher end model eg GTi, Turbo, 4x4 then joining a forum might be a good bet - the members on these forums normally look after their cars and are quite specific about the models they buy.
Cheap banger then maybe the free yellow paper.

EBay I'd generally avoid - I feel that people use ebay to buy a bargain so your car may not fetch as much as it would if you go via one of the other routes.
