Disneyland Paris

Just booked to go to DLP for first time with hubby and two kids (aged 4 & 5).

We are staying at Newport Bay Hotel (only cosgt us extra £47 to upgrade from Sequoia Lodge and wanted to be on complex for first visit)

Anyway my question is about the food. Does anyone know how much it costs to eat at both the restaurants at Newport Bay Hotel or anywhere on the web where I can find prices of food at Disneyland Paris?

I know it is stupidly expensive to eat there but my kids do not have big appetites and are fussy eaters so was wondering if anyone can give me hints on where to have dinner. Should I go for buffet restaurants?

I am going to take snacks and stuff from breakfast for lunch so it is only dinner I need to worry about. Will take squash bottle and fill up from fountains for there drinks.

Half Board costs £320 in total for the four of us for the whole trip and I am worried we probably won't spend that much on 4 dinners so it is worth us doing it?

you can find rough prices for all the restaurants on DLRPfood guide, the DISboards for DLP also have restaurant review threads.

it can be expensive to eat at DLP - buffet restaurants start at around 20 euros per adult and 9 per child, and go up from there.

Cafe Mickey is actually a good option - its a character meal, and you can choose one course or more, its up to you. You can also order pizza etc to share there, so it doesn't have to be that expensive (ie one adult, one child could share a pizza and a starter, have soft drinks each, and the bill would be less than 30 euros). You can of course pay a lot more at Cafe Mickey, but whatever you eat there, the character interaction is the same :).

I don't buy half board meal plans anymore, it doesn't really save you any money at all, and if you're on a budget, it can restrict your restaurant choice.
  • I can recommend cafe mickey too the pizza is lovely and its really big more suited for two people anyway. They also do fairly cheap childrens dinners at annettes which is really nice aswell. If your there about 7pm they also dance/skate to grease etc so fun for all ages.

It doesnt have to be an expensive you just have to be economical - e.g lots of people take rolls from breakfast to eat at lunch then you only have dinner to pay for.

Hope you have a lovely time, very jealous dont know if we can afford to go this year.

Have the continental breakfast each morning which is bread rolls and cold meat with pastries. Its very nice. Then.....butter half a dozen extra rolls at the table, put in yr meat. Wrap them in a serviette and hey presto....you now have lunch! Don't sit and do it blatantly...but look around as you do it and you will find every family in the place doing it! Don't forget to take a large hand bag with you.... I know its not the best and probably against the spirit of the place, but it can be expensive for lunch and they will get yr money for dinner!
