Things have changed, not every household are able to buy an expensive pair of shoes for their children.
Aye but many of them will still have Sky and two weeks in Benidorm.
I'm certainly not as strict as my parents and especially before I was a teenager we were only allowed Startrite shoes my mother didn't think Clarks were up to the mark.0 -

nope I don't do holidays, can't afford 2 weeks in Benidorm. Heck getting married in June and we won't be having a honeymoon, the money isn't there so we don't put ourselves in debt as we see holidays as luxury.
As for sky i have it as a package and it's cheaper than separate bb, and telephone.
That dig in the ribs doesn't apply to all sorry0 -
"s b" that's a little harsh, whatever she's bought should be fit for purpose and last a reasonable amount of time.
I also "voted with my feet" and never bought shoes from there again. The one pair I bought needed repairs after a month or so. So the cost of the shoes, plus repairs... I could have bought more "normal" priced pair elsewhere, but at the time, finances didn't allow it.
Would write to head office, but other than that... never again...0 -
I hate buying shoes and trainers. When i do finally find something suitable i try and buy a few pairs or
buy the same ones again next time.
I needed some recently and found the sole on most of the stuff to be so thin i reckon they wont last more
than a few weeks of continuous use.
If the soles flex with moderate thumb pressure they are junk, I feel inside and if i find any rough stitching
i put them back. Surprises me how many items of footwear costs £60+ and fail these tests.
I prefer comfort and decent quality over a brand name.
Bought some boots from shoezone and they were great, A while back i looked at some and although similar
they failed my tests, My 50% worn boots still passed my test.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
