Hi,
My friend bought some £100 football boots over two weeks ago online, when he played in them, after 20 minutes, one of the studs started to come undone and would not screw back in. It would appear that they were cross-threaded by whoever packed them.
Please can someone explain is he entitld to his money back?

Hello anyone?0

Yes, this would count as a fault and so he should be able to get his money back. The difficulty will be because he's worn them, the company might try to claim that he has 'accepted' the goods, ie. decided that they were OK but as long as you stick to your guns and explain that they should not have become faulty during normal useage then you should be fine.0

Hi again, just an update- i have just found out that my friend has had the boots 8 weeks but only used them once (last week) because his team had no matches over the Christmas period due to the snow.
Is this 8 week delay likely to complicate matters please?0 -
Depending on the retailer, you will only receive an exchange, replacement. However christmas periods usually result in changes to return policies. Odd boots though, normally when they are cross threaded going in, you cannot get them out!0

you will have to try your luck.
They may not believe that he has only played them once
I once bought some astro truf trainers and played about 5 times in 2 months, one day when going for a tackle someone stood on the bit with the shootlaces and all the little lace holes on one side split. i managed to get a full refund from sports soccer which was a bit of a result as they are usually very tight.0
