First Direct "First Directory" monthly charge

The main question here would be "Is it worth it"?

Normally the answer would be a resonding "NO", but Im currently only using it for the free worldwide travel insurance.
  • We go to the States at least once a year so euro-only covers is no good (family)
  • It's a joint account, so the one payment (£12.95/mth) covers us both

Now I have done a bit of looking around (not too hard, I admit) but have not come across any insurance companies that will match the total cost for an annual worldwide policy for us both (12x12.95 = .£155.40, although I was only paying 9.95 for a while!)

I just need a few people to put my mind at ease, or at least show me the light of a cheaper policy!

Thanks
