our tesco has a large sign above it which says pay less for fuel yet they are charging 2.4p more that a independant less than 2 miles away. In addition to this sainsbury has a petrol station opposite Tesco and the fuel station manager has told us there is a head office agreement that they have to price match tesco and cannot compete.
why is it that Tesco are being allowed to bulldoze their way through the country unopposed, they are even building a new store near the garage that undercuts them.
i see the problem is that every area has seperate planning permission so them gaining permission for 389 more stores last year is being overlooked.

So what is the problem, if there is somewhere cheaper use them no one is forcing you to shop at Tesco.0

I hope that is not an agreement between the two companies as that would be against competition laws, but it does make a nonsense of things now that Tesco own a stake in Greenergy which is one of the largest fuel suppliers in the country and delivery to many of Tesco's rivals!0 -

They build estates, roads, libraries, etc etc etc.... Basically above board and legal bribes but thats why if they want to build somewhere, they will.

Well, as they say. Every little helps.
Just lately the customer is getting very little, and the more Tesco turns the screw, the more people will see the light and go elsewhere.
DanWe used to to shop at Tesco. But then we saw the light.0
