smithkinson wrote: »I feel really strange about it too. It still seems so far away, even though it's not. It's weird, because it was only December that we got engaged and April that we decided to do it in July, so it's all been quite quick, but seems so slow. I'm excited, and nervous, and very much looking forward to being married, but at the same time I will be sad that it is all over so soon and there is no more wedding.. forever!
Aw! I feel like that sometimes, but I read a lovely post by Cleverclogs on the May thread, and she said that it's nice to have her life back and have time to read a book lol!Just renew your vows once a year...? :rotfl:

FutureCooper wrote: »Ideas please - I am having a Cocktail and Canape hen do at mine on Saturday night. I have got Bellini's as an arrival cocktail and then i'll serve jugs of Pimms and Woo Woo. I am lacking inspiration on canape's though. I don't have time for much cooking or prep on Saturday as i'm out most of the day. I have got the obligatory posh crisps and dips, cheese straws, veg crudities and now my mind has drawn a blank. I officially have bride brain and can not retain any information.
I was going to recommend somewhere like M&S too
*waves hiya* I'll post more later - got to pop to B&Q0 -

Back from the shops laden down with wedding-related spoils
Spray mount to make the table plan. Carry-on suitcase for OH (nearly time for honeymoon :j). *Lots* of honeymoon clothes!
Partly inspired no doubt by smithkinson and MrsDrink and their multiple wedding dresses, I've bought two short dresses in white and ivory. I think I might rock the bride look for the day before and after, and maybe on honeymoon! I wasn't planning to buy much, but I haggled well in Lipsy and M&S, so it's all MSE(ish;)).

Come on, Mr Ghostlove's Passport, we have a honeymoon to book!I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.0

Hey everyone!
Hope your all good!
Well meeting with the dj went well yesterday then today I met with the cake lady and I cant wait to see our cake now, I think it will be fab! Also met with my mums friend, dress is all pinned to be taken up- the underlay and one point at the front will be coming up 4 inches!! Along the front she will have to almost arch it because of the shape- but I dont care as long as Im not tripping all over it!! Feeling so much happier now!
Hen do number 3 is the weekend!:j Im still bruised from last weekend so I need to start being very careful now!
Oh and we have decided on table names- album titles so table plan has been given to stepdad to pass on to someone at work who is going to make it for us.
:j on getting honeymoon clothes BB.
Wanchai- :j at one more day at work!0 -
Thanks for the ideas. I love the idea of somewhere else doing it all!! My friend has requested cheese and pineapple on a stick!!
Wanchai - I finish work on the 19th, married on 27th, honeymoon 29th. Soooo tired at the mo. I am dreaming of poolside snoozes in the sun
H2b has been out wedding gift buying for me tonight. Woo hoo excited again. I love his surprise presents.0 -
Chop chop passport staff - Mr and Mrs Ghostlove have a honeymoon to book!
FutureCooper - I love cheese & pineapple too!
PinkPrincess - your cake sounds very intriguing - what's it going to be like? I'm having a simple M&S one - like lots of people seem to be doing!
Have fun at work tomorrow wanchai - they might have forgotten you when you come back after your month off! Do you think they'll all get you a card? I don't think anyone will get me one - I work with boys and just one girl (who doesn't even give a birthday card to her husband).0
