AVG notice - end of free 7.1 in Jan

I rec'd this morning a notice, from AVG, that they are ending their free 7.1 program on Jan 17th 2007. They are offering a free 7.5 updated program.
Should I wait until the 17th Jan to download this new program?
Has anybody any good or bad comments about the new 7.5 prog?

I down-loaded it the other day. It's a different colour but seems to work in the same way.
I had a bit of trouble with the download, but uninstalled 7.1 first and then all OK.0 -
Neater interface, but seems much the same as before.
Follow the instructions here:

I'm getting this message:-
" Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for file avgamsvr.exe: stopping service....
Service Avg7Alrt failed to progress during stopping at checpoint 1 (wait hint 5100 ms) in 85609 ms. "
Can anyone interpret this for me please and what should I do?

Yes better to uninstall old version then reinstall new version.
Or like I did:
-download new version of avg,
-uninstall old version of avg,
-download and install avast.0 -
Why the change of antivirus to Avast, garcia? Do you think it's better than AVG Free 7.5?0
