HSBC credit card questions

in Credit cards
After 6 months of being an HSBC bank account customer I have just been accepted for the HSBC credit card and have some questions about it for other HSBC credit card holders.
What does the 3 month 0% purchase introductory offer means? Is it that anything I purchase within the first three months will be at 0% for as long as I'm paying it, or will they start charging interest after the third month?
Then, if they start charging interest after the third month, is it after the third month of the account being opened or after the third month of the purchase being made?
Sorry if this is a fairly basic question, but it is the very first credit card I get with a promotional offer and have no former experience in the subject.
Also, how good are HSBC with credit limit increases. I just got the card with £2000. When should I expect the first increase and for what approximate amount?
Thanks in advance!

However, as with all cards, the best approach is to call them and ask them for the EXACT date your 0% introductory offer ends. The activation call presents the ideal opportunity for this.
NB: It will almost certainly not coincide with either a statement date or payment due date.0 -
Regarding increases it's not a given, they usually put it up when you are near your 2k limit.0
