I searched for this, couldn't find it relevant to end of 2010.
I did food shopping at Tesco on December 23rd, and payed with my debit card. Payment is yet to be taken from my Co-op account. Anyone else in the same boat?
It's starting to annoy me now, as it looks like this isn't a first time for Tesco, and they've been known to collect payment weeks and months later.

I had a mystery charge today on my statement...but after a lot of memory jogging and checking back statements I have come to the conclusion it was a charge for petrol I paid at the pump six weeks ago! Has anyone else experienced this? If you don't have much money in your account watch out for it. I knew there was sometimes a delay, but never expected it to take this long! The reference is Tesco UPT (which I understand refers to Unmanned Payment Terminal).0

Legally they can take it up to 6 years later. After a certain time (I'm not sure how long) they have to inform you that
they are going to take it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
