I didn't think they existed anymore either!! I remember they used to have an advert on in the 1970's for foreign holidays "GO PONTINENTAL"!!January GC: £64.81/£80.00
February GC: £24.60£80.000 -
I dont know the exact details of this offer, but normally when it says £3 pppn, this is based on 4 people sharing, as are the Sun holidays. You will probably find its for 3 nights at the weekend if you stay Fri - Mon, and 4 nights(with the 4th night being free) if you stay Mon - Fri. So this will work out at £36 for the stay. I may be wrong but this is how the papers normally work it0

I wouldn't even pay that.0

and.............
It's usually selected term time dates only, at selected locations and usually out of season - so you cant use the facilities :mad:
I wouldnt bother! better to book direct online and know what you get there and then!0 -
hi, we have just come back from the Southport site we went 17th Dec for a Christmas Fantasy weekend - and it was fantastic, we were really impressed - the accomodation was basic but clean - needed updating we thought but there were chalets on site that were in the middle of being refurbished and looking through the windows they looked fab. speaking to the staff they said they were spending millions on doing them up - we were also really impressed with the blue coats the effort they put in was fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and the quality of the entertainment was great, we are definatly booking again for the christmas weekend this year and may go before that with the star offer. can I also say we had 14 inches of snow while we were there and pontins said all guest could stay free of charge if they couldn't get home safely. 10 out of 10 to Pontinsmiss-piggin :j Mum of 2 wonderful girls and a gorgeous little man.DFW Halifax£2330 Tesco£2576 Virgin£3238 Little£5468 Asda£242 Barc£240 Catalogue£1600 Halifax1£2k Halifax2£250 [STRIKE]Capital£100 Picture£53k GE Mo £30k. We went to Burnham on Sea Pontins last year and were deeply disappointed with the accomodation which was chalets but grubby and run down. The staff were great and location very good but we were glad to leave and will not be back.0

Pontins are in administration with several buyers being lined up, so the future is bright.
However gift vouchers etc, would not have to be accepted by any new buyer - so just check the Star deal is not a voucher-entitling-you-to-stay deal (Not familiar with the newspaper holiday deals). If its a firm booking - then you're okay.--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---0
