check the metal strip contacts on the charger.
Your cigarette lighter is probably worn being 9 yrs old and the phone charger isn't making full contact
Had it loads of times in different cars.
My way around it was to wrap the charger in a thin piece of foil and it worked perfectly, but i don't advise you do that as the fuse won't go if there's a problemIf Adam and Eve were created first

right i,ll shake it about a bit chargers brand new,and by looks of it fag lighters never been used muchcheck the metal strip contacts on the charger.

See the metal edges running down the side
They may not be touching the inside of your vehicles lighter contacts. Bend them outwards a little and you'll find they may then seat properly and it'll be a snugger fitIf Adam and Eve were created first

Failing that wrap the lower half (around contacts) in foil and plug it inIf Adam and Eve were created first

My cigarette lighter worked but not the phone charger. Cleaned the bottom of the hole where the end contact touches, works fine now.0
