If you've got a file name for 'the brain', you could try putting into Google and see what comes up - there are many web sites that specialise in having file information and telling you whether it's safe to keep, safe to delete, or is malware.
Alternately, download and install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (MBAM), run that and see what it says. Someone on here can help if you're not sure about MBAM.
