His JSA will be reduced. He can keep the first £5-£20 depending on his circumstances. After that, it's pound for pound.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
50p saver #40 £20 banked
Virtual sealed pot #178 £80.250 -
Assuming he is single/ not disabled, anything he earns over £5 will be deducted from his JSA.

Perhaps you could remind him that he is far more likely to find a full time job when he is working, rather than being on the dole?
I agree - but, he will bw worse off when he has paid his petrol money, does that not get taken into account?
I have a woman in work who work 16 hours a week and gets paid £550 in benefits a week to "top" them up plus childcare costs, one woman has more money than another who works full time - this is just not right in my opinion0 -

I doubt those figures are accurate. Perhaps you could explain how they have been arrived at?
Anyway, if you think some people are getting too much, you'll be happy that someone willing and able to work, and with a job available, is not allowed to draw on taxpayers whilst working? :cool:0
