Tennage Car Insurance!

During in October i took out car insurance for my daughter who had a provisional license. At the time of arranging the insurance i enquired as to a predicted premium for when she would hold a full license, and was verbally quoted that it would approx be an additional £40. I have today asked for an accurate figure and was stunned! shocked! horrified! that an additional premium has been quoted of £1600!!!
Any help in where we stand would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

They won't be committed to any price they quoted you months ago.0

was the additional quote done over the phone? If so get a transcript and if they did quote you "approximately £40" then I don't see how they can avoid providing cover for that sum0

Sounds cheap, My quotes are coming back as £600-£700 with 10 years no claims.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

£1600 for the next year I would assume, rather than an additional £1600 for the time left on the insurance?0
