Hotel near Geneva Airport

I am arriving in Geneva 17 Jan, and have a flight to Sharm ek Sheikh
next day.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel near the airport,
that won't cost too much by taxi to get there.

Why not jump on a train into the city centre - reasonably cheap and frequent. There are several hotels opposite the train station - we've stayed at the Hotel Suisse which I can recommend.

Also if you have a few hours to kill you can look around Geneva rather than be stuck out at the airport

If you want a decent hotel there is a Crowne Plaza within walking distance of the airport - but it can be expensive(*) - plus a few others served by a shuttle service.

Otherwise, as said above, just jump on the train. The city centre is only a few minutes away.


(*) - then again, Geneva has some of the most expensive hotels in the world as most people there are on business or having their expenses paid by NATO, the UN or other international organisations.
