AMEX 5% cashback in first 3 months

My AMEX offers 5% cashback in the first three months upto £100. This means if I spend £2000 in month one, any extra I spend in months two and three won't be counted as cashback. Should I, once I spend £2000, move to my M&S cashback card (lower cashback) for months 2 and 3?

I can then move back to my AMEX card in month 4 (I'm confident I'll meet the minimum yearly spend to get the cashback) for the 1.75% cashback.

    I haven't heard about the 1.75% cashback.
But in months 2 and 3 it's just a case of comparing the cashback rates. I think it's 0.5% for Amex but don't know about M&S.

Remeber that Amex on give cashback on whole pounds and not pence.
This means unless you spend whole pounds all the time, the cashback rate is less than quoted.

If it's the Platinium cashback card it'd 0.50% for the first £3,500 then 1% up to £7,500 then 1.25% thereafter. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
