Fastest dla acceptance??

Just wondering if I qualify for the fastest dla payment?
This is really a post to also let people who are claiming that it may not take as long as you think.
I sent off my letter around about the 12th of December and I have been told I was awarded dla on the 17th of December!!
I was told to expect a decision by mid to late Feb!!!
The payment appeared in my bank account today and as I have put in another post I phoned up and had my award confirmed.

I was expecting a long wait and possibly refusal. I have to admit it is a great weight of my mind awaiting a decision so I really do understand the stress involved.

Made me think of a few years back. My Dad applied for DLA and within just 4 days he had a letter telling him that his application had been un-successful:eek:

How they came to a decision so quickly is just beyond me given that the refusal letter was dated the very same day as they had received his application ?

Thankfully when he took it to tribunal he was awarded an indefinate award.
