Family Summer holiday for under £700!

Hi there,

I have been looking to book our family summer holiday for a while, I wanted to go to the Balearics Island as it is not too far away and make the flight so much easier with the little ones. I have just booked our family holiday for £699 for all 4 of us. It booked it on Hi Holidays and we are staying for 7 nights, half board at the Hi Bouganvilla Park Hotel in Sa Coma, flying from Luton on the 10th May.

Has anyone stayed at this hotel before? It has some pretty good reviews on TripAdvisor and for the price it was a bargain. At the moment Hi Holidays have a weekend sale on with a 10% saving on summer holidays to Majorca and all the holidays are all fully protected.

Wanted to share with you and please let me know if you have stayed here before.

The reviews on Trip Advisor are far from good. Some describe the hotel as unfit to stay in. Is it me or do we keep seeing wonderful comments about Hi Holidays from people who have never posted before and presumably work for the company??

I 've been there twice once in 04 and in 06, it was basic but ok.Pool was freezing though. We had a hire car and it was 5min drive to the beach or they had a shuttle train going. It was a few years ago so might have changed now.

I've never stayed there (I've never actually been to Majorca), but I'm a bit worried about some of those Trip Adviser reviews, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to recommend posting on another forum here (?) but personally I would post on there in their forums and request UP TO DATE info on the hotel, and see what people are suggesting, and if they can update on some of the negatives that people are raising in their reviews. Have a good holiday, anyway, whatever happens, since you've already booked it!
