jury duty and a.s

I think it's a situation that depends entirely upon the individual involved, as AS can manifest itself so differently from one person to another0

In some cases they can excuse you no problem.....if everyone else has said that they will come.
In my local court, they cite 160 to attend for one week as they plan to run about 3 or 4 cases that week. They over cite to accomodate for people being excused.
What can happen though is that you get picked for one jury case, give a verdict, then be told to take a seat in the public gallery to be put into the 'draw' for the next case.
We generally need a doctors certificate if you want to be excused or if they deem you essential (maybe too many people have already been excused)
Personally, I would love to sit on a jury. In Scotland, only the most serious crimes get trial by jury. Don't know about England thoughOfficial DFW nerd no 551 - proud to be dealing with my debts
