Buying a used car from a new car dealer
just wondering if there are tips
I've done the HPI checks on the car - all clean
Mechanic says car is roadworthy condition and has highlighted a few repairs that may be needed in the future.
3 months warranty given with purchase
the car itself seems good
the used car dealer has only just opened about a month ago.
it's run by a lithuanian person, got the ltd company details which match, but company only incorporated 8 Oct 2010 - so not much history.
the bank account they've given is for ltd company and sort code is a local barclays branch
I think all is ok, you just hear those stories and I want to make sure I check everything out before parting with £3k. What if they are a fly by night type of company.
He's trading in an old citroen dealer's place that closed a year or so ago. They only sign they have up is a "Quality Used Car" sign, that is roped up.
Will be doing a bank transfer to them when I pick up car, not before.
Gut feeling is ok, just want peoples thoughts!
