BSOD during a virus scan

Hi guys

I am getting a blue screen of death on a vista laptop when I try and do a virus scan.

I can't really read anything on it as it all comes up very quickly.

One thing I did see was "ataport.sys".

Thats all I can see.

It then restarts itself

I would primarily use the windows tool to see if they have a fix for it.

Else, you could turn the auto restart off on bluescreen, so you can see the error. I'm sorry, I can't remember how off the top of my head. You'd have to Google it or maybe somebody on here can remember..
