How to get rid of mergefield if no data for mailmerge in Word

I am trying to prepare some address labels using mail merge in Windows 2007. I have done this in a previous version of Word and there was an option not to leave a space if there was no data eg in address fields, some of my people have 3 address lines and some have 4. Can anyone please tell me how to not leave a space for the people with only 3 address lines.
