o2 Insurance on iPhone

Hi all , almost 18 months ago i took out a contract with o2 on the iPhone 3GS , never missed a payment and took out the £10 a month insurance aswell to cover me for lost/stolen and accidental damage. My insurance with them became void because I removed the sim card from the iphone to use in a courtesy phone from o2. Now ive lost all my contacts and photos etc and o2 claim i have to speak to apple for repairs now wich may cost me up to £150 + and i am running the o2 contract untill march 2011. Can any one please advise? Any information or feedback is welcome.

Thanks all

Will :)

  • Sorry I should add how the iphone become broken..

Slipped over and thought nothing of it when the phone was in my pocket, took it out later to use it to find a black screen.. I spoke to o2 in the town centre they advised me to call customer services for free rather than send it via the store as they would have to charge me. They also advised me to plug in to itunes but nothing happened.
