Egg Money Transfer

in Credit cards
I have in the past transferred a positive balance from my Egg Money card to my bank account.
When I went to do this again the other day I was unable to find a way of doing it.
Has this been stopped or am I just being thick.
Thanks.

Egg changed the terms of their cards, including money, so that you are no longer permitted to hold a positive balance, ergo any online facility to transfer positive balances has been removed.
You will need to call them and they will either do a BACS transfer or send you a cheque; their perogative.
I'm not sure how strict they are on disallowing positive balances, this seems to vary from creditor to creditor, but do avoid leaving positive balances on the account where possible in future save them having the right to close your account (all too common at Egg / Citi FWIW)Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

You can still do it online
Left of screen balance transfer, then choose current account, then enter details of sort code, account number etc.
Did one last week no problem, although as already stated account should not be in credit, just make sure you dont create a debit doing the transfer or there will be charges0 -
Although the new t&cs do now prohibit it, in practice you can still put Egg Money into positive balance and then transfer out to a current account online.
Log on to Egg Money, then it's:
Balance Transfers (LHS of screen) --> Current A/c or Overdraft
As an anti-fraud measure, you'll need to have a mobile phone registered with them though. Egg text you a four digit code that you then have to enter on screen to verify it's you doing the balance transfer.
Apart from that, it's actually the same as it ever was. I did this last month with no problems.0 -
