World Book Night: one million free books to give away - have you been selected?

I got the curious case of the dog in the nightime. 48 copies of the thing. Have applied to have them delivered to my local library but heavent heard anything back. Somehow i think they have underestimated how much effort it is to deliver a milllion books i in a week.

I was selected, and got my first choice of Alan Bennett's A Life Like Any Other to distribute around Leeds.

Just been informed that they are having to use people on their reserve list. They have asked where I want my books delivering to so its looking good !!!:j

I think I'm the only person that actually asked to receive the Reluctant Fundamentalist?!

It's quite a good book, the way it creates a one sided conversation is really quite interesting, take a little getting used to, I hated it at first, but it got better.

which I am going to be giving away in Felixstowe Suffolk ,Half to a charity I work for and the other half to people of Felixstowe

Didn't realise this thread was running! I have been selected to give away 48 copies of Lee Childs 'The Killing Floor' I was extatic about this as I literally eat books. I come into contact with a lot of people who will hopefully love a copy. My mum has already reserved hers lol
