Halifax withdrawing Electron facilities?

Yep 20th March, https://www.bankofscotland.com/changes
(note NOT: https://www.bankofscotlandhalifax.com)
If you also look on Bank of Scotlands website only 3 of the accounts have new style brochures, thats the URCA, RCA, Student and Easycash. Could this suggest the scrapping to new customers of other accounts namely the expresscash and cardcash.
Simply give everyone a visa debit or basic cashpoint card, seems they are taking ltsbs approach.0 -
That link you have given actually takes you to:

I think the use of the word debit card is just generic as with all the changes mentioned. It does not reference the that electron card holders would now get a visa debit card.0

It doesn't say anywhere on the new terms and conditions about getting rid of electron unless i'm missing something.0

It will be interesting to see what else crops up during this takeover. I have both a Lloyds TSB account and a Halifax account, and feel there will be lots of small changes that will please some and annoy others.
Halifax have a far better online banking system than Lloyds, but Halifax really annoy me that they won't accept more than five bags of coins over the counter. I only visit a branch once a year when I empty my piggy bank. I usually have about 8 or 9 bags of coins and no amount of reasonable discussion with Halifax can persuade them to process them. Lloyds simply accept them with a smile!0 -
My RBS "Key Account" Solo card was recently replaced with a full Visa and I have to say this was a surprise to me.
From what I understand, there's a lot of changes taking place in the banking world right now and I can only wonder what's next.
Best wishes

They move to the LTSB style system. This will reduce the number of facilities but once all accounts are on one system, improvements will be made to both. LTSB can expect some changes quite soon apparently including a mobile facility, with BOS and Halifax coming later in the year again once systems merge.
Most of the changes will be with BOS and Halifax, LTSB isn't really expecting a huge change, improvements but not as big a change as BOS and Halifax.0 -

If you take the coins to the business banking counter they will take as many as you have. I did this 2 weeks ago with 15 bags to my local branch.
