BA: 6hr Baggage delay at Terminal 5 back in 2008

Hello 
I was wondering whether anyone would be able to advise me on the following?:
I was on a flight from LAX to LHR back in March 2008, landing in terminal 5 on its first day of operation. We had to wait over 5 hours in baggage claim for our luggage as there was some sort of problem with the new terminal.
I put this down to a nuisance and obviously was rather annoyed but didnt really think anything of it, until a colleague of mine said the same thing happened to her and she made a claim for compensation from BA - resulting in her being given thousands of free BA miles as way of an apology.
Do you think I should complain to BA about this now, as its within the 6 year time frame? Or has anyone else experienced something similar and made a claim?

The world has gone compo crazy!The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

As Incapuppy has said, by leaving it until now, you have weakened your case anyway. And under what law or Regulation might you be claiming?
BA would give BAEC miles as a goodwill gesture when things like this happen, but usually only to their more valued customers and not after such a length of time!Gone ... or have I?0 -

Incapuppy - As I said in my post I clearly was "bothered" by a six hour wait in baggage claim caused by BA, as anyone would be. But was not aware that there was much I could do about it until my colleague mentioned.
I mearly posted a friendly post asking for advice and got several sarcastic rude replies.

I think the OP was lucky to get away with just a 6 hour delay on T5's first day of operations remembering what chaos it was. An immediate claim would have probably got you some goodwill miles (BA often throw them at customers just to keep them quiet), but you would have no hope now. There has to be a Statute of Limitations of these things.
It's always a risk flying into any airport/terminal just after it has opened.0
