Hi everyone, im sort of new to posting, but a long time lurker,
My situation is that my mum is awaiting a operation for a knee replacement, she has been waiting over a year and due to complications with high blood pressure etc, they had to delay and now have booked her in for april.
She has been out of work for nearly a year,as she can only stand/sit in certain postions.
as a result of this my mum and dad are struggling finacially, she went to the job centre about 6 months ago and said she couldnt claim disability allowence because the illness is only temp.
So would she be entitled to anything else?? I was looking at incapacity benifit but got confused,
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

She may be entitled to ESA, if she has either paid enough national insurance over the last few tax years or the household income is low enough.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
