can i somehow use mobile phone as dongle

Hi, I have an android phone, and did just this when I first moved and didn't have broadband yet. On my HTC desire I downloaded "pda net" and did the same on the computer (I have a PC and mac and it worked on both). You need the usb to phone cable, It's very simple, just follow instructions. I did get a call to say I was near my monthly limit that month, but it got me by for a few weeks.
