I said are you mental in jest, if you took that as literally then you may well be mental:)

Also I said are you mental "asking a question", not implying something, but some people cant grasp that.

And dont give pity as you dont know me at all, I could say I pity you for not understanding jest(e) but then again Im not a arrogant sod (not implied for you) best put that unless you thought I was also calling you an arrogant sod just like you thought I called you mental, which I didnt as I asked you in jest(e), I hope that helps.
