Out all day yesterday. Cafechurch was good. There was a lady speaking from an organisation called Christians against poverty (CAP) who work to help people in debt or struggling with money. They can provide DMPs free of charge as well as offering training on budgeting and befriending people. They even provide free weekend breaks for people. Impressive stuff. Worth a google if you know anyone this could help.

Not a very MSE day though. We had lunch at the pub - which although reasonable meant £15 spent. Then pets at home about £20 and the bargain shop next door for halloween stuff and storage boxes (I only went in for the boxes but took my 6 yo) totalling about £25. We have decided to have a halloween party :) Calling for the bread and paper which I order for every Sat at £5 and well you can see how it mounts up.

Need to check what cash I have in my purse and then work out what I need to spend over the next week. Shouldn't be much. Next weekend I have a birthday card and gift to buy (no more than £8.00), the bread and paper (£5) and maybe a small top up shop. Hopefully I have enough cash to cover it.

I also have my car MOT coming up. Just hope it isn't to expensive.

DH is taking our son out today so I should get the opportunity to get some more jobs done from my to do list.

Edited to add - budgets now all up to date until the end of October. My food budget this week is £40 but hopefully won't need it. For each week in October I am budgeting £50 food/household, £30 fuel and £20 spends. I am going to try not to use my bank card other than for pre budgeted spends and instead use cash and NO online shopping other than what is pre budgeted. Will see how this goes!

  • Had a lovely morning cooking :)

Made smash scones, banana and sultana cake, veggie chilli and stewed some apples from the garden :)

I love cooking - beats cleaning any day!
