Mazda 5 - Electric window switches not working on driver's door

Problem started today. Car has not been used for a couple of days. It was very cold this morning. When i tried to start the car it struggled. It felt like the battery was flat, dashboard lights went off, the engine turned sluggishly, then started. When the engine was started the needles on the speedo and rev dials turned clockwise to read maximum speed/revs then settled back to zero then went back to normal. This is the first time it happened.

Now on the driver's door only the driver's electric window switch works. Other three are dead. The electric window switch on the other doors work, it is just i can't open them using the switches on the driver's door.

The car now starts perfectly, i have checked the fuses and operations of all lights/horn/wipers and no problems there.

The problem with the electric switches is still there.

Any idea what happened?
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

There's a button on the drivers side door which cuts power to the other 3 windows - try pressing that. If not in the handbook it states how to reset the windows in event of a power failure/spike/surge.

The lock is off if that is what you mean.

I can open the window using the switch on that door but not from driver's door, the rear door window will open if i use the switch on that door etc but can't using the switch on driver's door for rear door window etc.

Yup, that was what I meant. I thought to try the simplest solution first. :D

    Try this:

    (1) Turn ignition to ON
    (2) Press a window switch to fully open the window (not using the switches on the drivers door)
    (3) Pull up the switch to fully close the window and continue holding the switch for 2 seconds after the window has closed
    (4) Repeat for each window

After fully recharging the battery i had reset the windows as instructed in the manual. Now all four switches on the driver's door work.

    Excellent :-)
