mira shower not working?

we have 2 showers in our house,the one in my son,s wetroom isnt working. its a mira shower,just tried to use it and only a bit of water trickles out then low pressure light comes on,and then it stops. the other shower works fine,as well as all taps etc,so cant be the water supply,anyone got any ideas?

Without knowing what make of shower etc it could be a few things but the simple things it could be to start with is a blocked filter if it has one, the pump if it has one (did it ever make a pumping noise before but no longer does now?) has anyone been turned off in your house at anypoint and the stop !!!! hasent been opened fully?

Could you post the model number or even a picture of the shower?

all it says on it is its a advance thermostatic atl,opened it up but see no filter,just loads of wires,everything connected to something,was a small blue cup like thing with a black button on it,i press and waters a bit more coming out of it now,but doesnt stay on anymore than 10 secs before low pressure light comes on
the water in that bathrooms works fine in taps,and other shower and taps in other bathroom fine,so water cant be off

I have never worked on this shower but did work on the previous model, there is an "air bleed button" which is what i think you are talking about when you mention the blue cup thing. On the old showers i worked on previous to this model it had somthing similar where i would press this button and water would come out the shower head at full force, as far as i knew this cleared the filter or bled it but the main thing is it solved the problem.

So with your shower i would try pressing the button down inside the shower (With the power off) and this should let water straight out the shower head at full force, hold it for about 5 to 10 secs and see how its goes.

sorted it,spoke to a plumber who comes into work,on bottom right hand side,protected by a plastic cover,where the water comes in,theres a black screw off filter that i screwed of very little dirt in it but cleaned it and it work fine now,thanks to all for the help
