My daughter has a set of EXSPECT EX85xPRO ACTIVE SPEAKERS FOR APPLE iPOD/PC/MP3 and they are superb. Unfortunately the infrared remote control is damaged - volume can only be controlled via the remote. Exspect no longer make the speakers, but have kindly offered to check their warehouse to see if they have one lying around.
I hae tried an Apple infrared remote, but no joy. Is there such a thing as an infrared remote that you can vary the signal / pulse sent out? Anyone have other ideas on how to deal with this?

Can you contact the company to ask if they will repair/offer/sell a new remote to you?0

You could try ebay, or alternatively get a programmable remote.
(However, you would then need to program the programmable remote, or find which "RC5" codes the broken one used.)0
