Take a look at www.skyscanner.net & www.kayak.co.uk

These are comparison sites. I tend to use Skyscanner for European and Kayak if I'm want flights for further afield.

These are both good sites to make a start frpm. However, I would google "cheap flights to (wherever you want to go)" and see what results come up. You will need to try a few of the sites as I have found that the compare sites often do not give the best price, although usually only a few £££ difference.

On may long haul flights you will often find the scheduled airlines offer the best price, so also check those out.

cheapflights.co.uk and fly.com are good, ukairtravelinfo.co.uk/cheapflights.asp also 'searches the flight search engines' run through helkoo. Expedia also offers lots of flight options. Hope this helps
