need help with this

i currently have virgin wireless

10mb

sky are offering me a great package for tv,boadband and phone,but there broadband speed is only 3.5mb,will i notice a big difference in the speeds as i only use it for surfing the net.

    This can only be an estimate of the speed you might get, ime they err on the conservative.

    You won't notice any difference in general surfing, video streaming might stutter a bit.

    Ensure you are being offered Sky LLU, not Sky Connect which should be avoided like the plague.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.

    it really varies can be anything between 5 and 10

    Re the red bits above , have you tested on speedtest here

    Mine is here (neighbours kids on holiday and it is Pants) but normally mine is 5.5-->6+ Mbps

    The 3.5 from sky may well be a guess, have you asked any of your neighbours as to what speed they get from sky (thats if you do get on well with any neighbours who have sky)

    you do have virgin but what you do have is virgin BB with a wireless router
