Where? Anyone seen any deals for a Turkey for Christmas? Frozen one is fine.

Tesco has frozen Bernard Matthews ones at 'half price'. Still cost me £7 for a small one though!
These prices are valid until January I think, which is why I don't think it's a genuine 50% off. When it comes to thought, some people stop at nothing.........0 -
Aldi are having turkeys and turkey crowns in for £6.99 think (may be £5.99...lost the leaflet)0

Thanks. £7 is a good price for a small one. How many people does it serve, 4-6?"If toast always lands butter-side down, and cats always land on their feet,

hey just remember you get what you pay for. The cheap ones have probably been in storage for 2 - 3 years, this will affect the taste and overall quality. Also bear in mind the animal welfare which is more or less ignored at the extent of profit. For the same money buy an organic free range chicken - you wont regret it and it'll be a meal you will truely enjoy.0

Each year I go to our local turkey auction. Our village has a really expensive butchers which is supplied by local farmers and any spares get auctioned off. We always manage to get a 14-16lb turkey which is fresh for around £9 and then if I go back later the larger birds go for a song. Always end up buying three of four extra for about 50p per pound and then pass them round the family.
Nothing beats fresh and at least they've grown locally0 -

Sorry you dont understand the processes of the frozen food industry - this fairly normal at this price end of the market.
Only trying to give you some advice on what decent food you can achieve within the same budget range.
Thanks for the being offensive0 -

Budget!!? Who mentioned about being on a budget??!!!!
If the local farm down the road is selling 1/2 price cos they've all been ran over by a tractor, I still might be interested.
This sites NOT about being tight! it's about getting a good deal! on that note Carrots that have not been washed nor top 'n' tailed at twice the price cos' they are in the Organic isle, I don't think that's a good deal!!
