hold luggage - different airlines

I want to fly out with Easyjet and home with Aer Lingus as the flight times are better for me. I need to check in one bag in the hold. Has anyone done this as its effectively 2 one way flights????
Can you do this online ?

Thats what you do with the likes of Easyjet and Ryanair every time. Whilst the screen says 'return' you are booking 2 single tickets in effect.

i have flown out with easyjet before and know I can print my boarding card and check in online well before i go on holiday......can i print my boarding card for my return flight with aer lingus before i go......i have a feeling you may be only able to check in a few days before you fly....meaning we will be abroad at the time.

Remember that if your first flight is delayed/cancelled, and you missed the 2nd one you would need to buy a new ticket. Leave plenty of time to connect flights.

Then check the airlines limit for checking in. Ryanair say 15 days but I have checking in for both the outbound (2 weeks later) and return (4 weeks later) flights at the same time.
