Santander trying it on?

I have a Debenhams store card, as with other cards the balance is paid in full each month by direct debit. This month, following a £3.28 cafe purchase I was charged 6p interest despite the statement showing the bill as paid on time.
Please check your statements in case this is not an isolated incident. Charge was rescinded following a phone call to the geographical number for lost and stolen cards, NOT the 0871 number. :-)

Santander are now asking customers to call back if they use the lost cards number and don't have card loss issue, but when using the 08459724724 press the hash key twice when it asks for your details it'll skip right past the automated pish.

Surely some things in life aren't worth bothering about, and this is one of them?

I agree it's a matter of principle, it's not a case of 6p, if M&S did this to all their customers, it adds up!
