Private Parking Tickets

Help needed

can anyone advise on my dilemma. I parked in a private car park last week, I bought my ticket and heeded of to town did a bit of shopping then meet some friends, I realised I would go over on my ticket so popped back to the car and bought another ticket, then went back in to town to finish my shopping. on returning to my car found i had received a ticket on my window telling me i was 10 minutes overdue, although my second ticket had plenty of time left on it, it had blown out of view

on returning home my wife scanned the penalty and tickets and sent the company a quick little email to say as such.

But we have just received a letter to tell us they don’t except this and expect us to pay £80 for 10mins of parking.

Any help would be much appreciated.

See all the other posts for ppc's. The only route is to ignore them from the outset as this makes them pay £2.50 to the DVLA and even then they don't know who the driver was. However the only problem you now have is you will get a few extra begging and threatening letters. Don't take them too seriously though and just file them in a drawer and forget them. They will threaten court and CCJ's etc but will never do court so no CCJ.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Yes parking cry are useless as PPCs go ;)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

There's no dilemma. Don't appeal (as if!). Stop taking it seriously, it's like believing a phishing email!

    Private company = ignore.

Private parking company's pet debt collectors = ignore them too, with bells on!

Click on the link in my signature below, settle down and read the two sticky threads near the top by Crabman 'Please read before posting' and 'PPC letters, what to expect'. See the exact debt collector letters in all their glory and watch the Watchdog legal expert's advice about what you can do with a fake PCN (just like yours). Then do the same with your bogus PCN and then with all the (fully-expected) debt collector threatograms. :D

Then read some more threads on the link, you will see how common this is.

Nothing happens, no Court, no CCJ, no bailiff, no clamper, no effect on your credit rating. THERE IS NO FINE.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You have already paid for your P+D ticket, therefore the landowner has suffered no material loss for you parking your vehicle on his/her land.
