206 rear wiper issues
Options
Hey there,
I have a Peugeot 206 that has a poorly rear wiper.
It just keeps flopping down basically lol.
It works, just not on the window, and will swivel all the way around 360 degrees with no bother.
Any idea on the part that has broken, and if I could fix it myself?
I'm a girl with no mechanical abilities, but I'd give it a go
or at least get the part from a breakers to save some cash.

Buy a new one. They are around £5-£6 on eBay last time I looked.
It could just be the nut that holds it in place has come loose. E.g. someone trying to pinch it.0 -
When I got it about 2 months ago it was okay for about a week, then it started fall down. So I'm guessing the seller bodged it somehow to sell it.. Hence why I'm not sure if a new one will make any difference..9/70lbs to lose0

Undo the nut, take the wiper off, put a thin piece of paper on the shaped spindle end to take up any play, put the wiper back on (in the correct position!) and tighten up the nut.0

Sounds like someone used it without unsticking it from the frozen rear window and mangled the spindle.... As it's the rear, it'll probably need a new motor. BUT you could try lifting the end cap and retightening it!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Okay, cheers guys! I'll have a closer look tomorrow and try to fix it..
The wiper goes from side to side, it just doesn't stay on the glass like it should do and seems to be getting looser.
I'll see if it'll tighten up or not..
I'm quite fond of my rear window so I'd like to get it fixed really.9/70lbs to lose0 -
^^ There will be a plastic cap covering a nut, it'll probably need a socket set to tighten it properly.
From what your saying it could purely be a matter of tightening it.

Thanks for that, it breaking did co-incide with the bad weather, so maybe it was me!
I'll try and find the nut to tighten tomorrow when I clean it, fingers crossed!9/70lbs to lose0
