Hi
been to morrisons today for food shopping......omg!!!!
i understand that fuel and vat have increased, but the price has rocketed. I do go for the bargains bearing in mind will i use them and their use by dates (flexible dates of course, ie if it smells funny etc). There were no where need as many deals as there usually is.
I have predoninantly used morrisons for a few years now on a weekly basis with tesco and asda every month for a few bits and their lastest offers and occassionaly pop into lidi and netto
so, in light of this, where do you find best at the moment to do your main food shopping and do you use any other shops too? I may have to change to asda.:money:

I have always shopped at Tesco as its near my home and I like to save my clubcard points for a xmas shop, but it has seemed quite expensive recently.
I've decided that I'm going to use Asda now, I think it is cheaper and if I do the Asda price check thingy if its not I should get a coupon back.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -
i was thinking about the asda nprice check thing, but if i buy bogof at morrions will asda take this into aco!!!! or not when comparing products?0

I'm not too sure of the exact workings of it, I'm sure there will be catches so they are not giving too many coupons away.

I shop about in different supermarkets now.
We now have an Iceland so I either go there or Farmfoods for my freezer food. It's cheaper to buy it there compared to Tesco and Sainsburys.
I use Tesco or Sainsburys for a small shop. I work in a Tesco store so I pick up bits as I need them and I go to Sainsburys to buy all the items that Tesco no longer stock (like for a loaf of bread).
I do use Tesco for a big shop every month as I can use my discount and my clubcard vouchers. I mainly order what I know I need and can freeze e.g. multipacks of meat, rolls etc.Competition Wins:

I was expecting this and to be honest there are never any bargains to be had at this time of year
My best advice is to build up a store cupboard when things are on offer, my freezer is filled with whoopsies and I have enough tins to feed a small armyIt takes ages though to get this up and running so do a bit every month good luck
Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000
Save £12k in 2013 no.34 £11,800/£12,000
'How much can you save' thread = £7,050
Total=£29,100
Mfi3 no. 88: Balance Jan '06 = £63,000.

I used to always shop in Tesco however I do feel they are more expensive. have been going to asda it's cheaper and they have some offers on too. I am going to sainsburys this week as they have a lot of half price offers.0

I use Morrisons as they are on my doorstep. Really for day to day shopping I wouldn't save much as prices are very similar.
I will go to the other big 3 if I know of any good offers like toiletries, pet stuff, household stuff, packet stuff that makes a trek worth it.
For some frozen veg I would go to Iceland.0 -
I have a Sainsbury's. Morrisons, Iceland and Lidl within walking distance so tend to split the shopping between then all depending on who has the best deals. At least the fish fingers are still frozen, that's what I keep telling myself (Truly Madly Deeply)0
