One night spa break Midlands area, where to go please?

Hi all.

I want to take hubby on a one nights spa break this weekend for his birthday. He only has Saturday night off work otherwise I would have booked the Sunday night Ragdale hall event. (His dates are not flexible unfortunately)

I don't mind driving up to an hour so I'm looking at Leics/Nottingham/Birmingham areas.

We went to Champney Springs a few years back but found it very rushed so would prefer somewhere else.

We want the swimming/sauna/steam room experience please so if anyone could recommend somewhere I'd be very grateful.

Thanks everyone

Thanks, I love that place. We went there a couple of months ago and are going for my Birthday in March!

Thats our trouble, we find a couple of places and stick with them. I'd love to go to Ragdale but they dont do overnights for a Saturday :-(

We are off to Elveden in March, I love it too :D

The only other one i've been to is Champneys Henlow Grange but I think that is a bit out of the way for you?
  • Yes that one is a bit far. I just rang Ragdale to see if there was anything they could do but nothing im afraid.

I think its a toss up between Stapleford Park and Champneys Springs. Stapleford Park looks nice and you do get an hours massage into the price but there's not much info on the steam rooms or anything.. and I like to spend most of my time in them lol!

Thanks for that. I was very close to booking the Ardencote but then I realised thats where hubby's summer ball is held every year so he knows the place as where his workmates meet. I must admit i've never noticed spa facilities there may even book an extra night there this year and check those out.

Hoarcross hall looks good too, although I did chuckle at it giving you directions for your helicopter lol! I'm just going to check out the Belfry now. There is so much more to offer that I didn't know about and its all not too far from me!
  • Thanks all.

Right i've ended up booking Springs. Its quite a number of years since I went so only fair to give it another try.

I did quite well really as there is a 25% off offer and then I got a couple of treatments at half price. I got a superior room for £202 per person so I'm pleased with that.

    Thanks again everyone.
