Poor service from CD WOW (pre-chrsitmas sale)

I purchased NCIS season 1 from CD WOW's pre christmas sale for £12.99 and about 4 days later I received an email to say that they don't have the item in stock and they are expecting stock around 6/12/06 and I should receive my order about 7 working days later.
Today when I get in from work i find I have an email from CD WOW telling me they have cancelled my order as they cannot source the item
I wonder if they have done the same to other people as I remember seeing a thread that some people were told their items where not in stock at present
1) I wonder how much they are making in interest as they take payment instantly via worldpay so they are making money
2) How can they sell an item that's not in stock and not even mention anything during the checkout proceedure or on the website:mad:
Have had a couple of problems with CD WOW in the past and now I don't think I will be using them again out of principle

1. A pretty penny
2. By legally fiddling and circumventing the regulations governing sales and pricing.

Thats libellous and if I were you I'd remove it pretty sharpish.
AJMCC - maybe you've been using a discount link AND a discount coupon, in which case 99% of these orders get cancelled. Or they were high volume orders and your orders were after their stock had been exhausted.
I today had Deadwood Season 2 cancelled (got S1 though) and within 10 minutes of getting the email I had a refund and a £1 voucher.
Sales at CDWOW can be like this where you have to be quick or you don't get what you ordered.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Gyzmo - is this your `honestly held belief' regarding CDwow? If it is then don't worry this isn't libellous as it's classed as opinion....this is your own personal belief and not malicious. Isn't there a legally binding contract if they take the money from your credit card? Or does this not apply because they are based in Hong Kong?0 -
Charmed season 7 cancelled
Charmed season 5 cancelled
Charmed season 3 received.
i suppose one outta three is better than 0 outta 3:rolleyes:0 -

Some companies have a clause in their contract saying that your order is only confirmed once it has been shipped and it can be cancelled without notification anytime before then
Not sure if CD WOW has the same thing written in but will have a look on their website
I emailed them to say I was not happy and they responded with a £3 discount code but I later looked on the website and noticed they have the NCIS boxset for £50 so I have emailed them complaning that it is convenient that they cannot get hold of the stock when it was in the sale but they can get full price stock but am waiting for a responce
Here is the email address for the customer service director at CD WOW if anyone wants to direct a complaint straight to them

They've been a bit mad recently with cancellations - I had one item cancelled for no apparent reason - re-ordered it exactly the same way and it went through no problem.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
