Cofused - buyer wants to cancel, what should I do?

I have never done this before.

Actually I am a bit annoyed. I listed an item under the title / description.
'Boys Ralph Lauren Polo Jumper - size small 2 3 4 VGC' 'My sister bought this jumper back from the US for my son, but it no longer fits him. In great used condition. Size small, My son is nearly 4 and its just too small for him now, so I would say 2-3 or 3-4.

Sold it this morning, the buyer emails me about an hour later saying that they didnt realise it was for kids and doesnt want to pay.

How do I go about cancelling the transaction and can I offer a second chance the next highest bidder?

(and was my description okay? Would you take from it that it was for a small child?)

It's an ok description but you don't actually state 'years' anywhere. Some companies size via number - karen Millen size their clothes 1-3 I think.

Ideally add measurements because I wouldn't buy based on your sizing description, it's vague.

I don't know about the practical aspect of cancelling though sorry.

It's simple to cancel as long as you both want to do so:

    http://res.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ResolutionCenter&hc=1&hm=v%7F.r%60can670

Just tick 'I want to cancel my transaction' and press continue...
  • Thank you - I have sent a cancellation request to the buyer and a second chance offer to the next bidder.

  • Seems clear to me that it's a child's jumper.

Think I would have done NPB on the high bidder. Once they get 2 strikes they won't be able to misread further auctions.

And you would get your FVF back.

small 2 3 4 is meaningless....there is a big difference between a 2 yr old and a 4 year old, a bit more description even stating you were not sure, but the measures are xx..would have helped the buyer
