Easy, lack of micro filters or dodgy microfilters or microfilters in the wrong place
Do you have a microfilter on EVERY phone/fax machine and on your router ?0 -
Could also be a DECT phone issue with wireless.0

I have filter things no idea if they are micro0

Sounds like the filter, get a good quality filter
I use one of these

But you can get filters much cheaper0 -
My filter went kaput for no reason a couple of years ago - took me ages to track down the fault - now it's the first thing I change when I get problems. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

You don't just need one of these, you need one per device.0

I only have a router which is plugged into a filter into the phoneline. Upstairs the phone is direct into the phone line. So I need to filter the phone ?0

yes, every device needs a filter, everywhere a phone or something else is plugged in you need a filter or its liable to interrupt your router's connection.
if you get a cheap one from ebay you run the risk of it not being very good (hearing hissing from the router on phone calls and still havign it drop out when the phone is used).
Also if you have caller ID some non-UK(BT network) spec ones can prevent caller ID working properly.0 -
Thanks I,ll sort another one out, now that you clever lot point it out it started happening when I moved the phone upstairs, before that the router and phone were plugged into a filter together.0
