I have never set one of these up but maybe you could use google tranlater to convert the german to english and this may help you find excatly what menu you are in and can work from there to change it to english.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

You need to reset it to change the language...for some reason HP have made it that you cannot go back into the main menu and select another language. seems to be a problem with this model.
**UPDATE** 1 hour at 5p per min on the phone to be bl00dy cut off once i was put through a techie...fumin....not phoning back....feel like lobbin this piece of !!!!!! out the window !!! Never ever again am i buying HP0 -
Found the following on this site hope it helps.
When a super NVRAM init is performed, the all-in-one language and telecom country/region settings
are undefined. The user is prompted to set the language and telecom country/region. Until these settings
are defined, the all-in-one will not return to the Ready state.
CAUTION A Super NVRAM init erases all data that is stored in both the unprotected and
protected NVRAM memory.
To perform a super NVRAM init
1. Turn off the all-in-one.
2. Press and hold down the * and 5 buttons.
3. Continue to hold down the buttons while you turn on the all-in-one. Hold the buttons throughout
the entire power-on sequence.
4. When Permanent Storage Init. appears on the control-panel display, release the buttons.
5. When prompted, set the language and telecom country/region.
6. Allow the all-in-one to return to Ready before using it0 -
this is shocking...i bought this today, followed the instructions to the letter and the printer boots straight into german (the lcd screen on the printer itself)
Did u get any luck with this dblue been looking at this all day and i also feel like lobing mine out the window
I cn get it to print normally, but cant use the wireless or scan functions as it's all in german on the printer so cant work it out.
normal printing i can do but i shudnt be stuk just doing that.
diable i too saw that link on the net, unfortunately that one refers to a laserjet version which has a number pad on it, our versions dont have a 5 or a * button, this is annoying
dblue please help lol, where did u find the part in the online manual to fully reset it as i cant find that anywhere.
