Hi all,
I have a netgear dg834g router and frequently have trouble accessing its page at 192.168.0.1. No trouble usually when the internet is working fine, usually only when I can't get on the internet and I need to check the routers settings.
I wonder why this is, as passwords and user name are fine and the routers firmware is also the latest.
I don't know if there is another way to get into the routers settings or what browser is the best for this problem?
Thanks very much for any suggestions.

If you can't access the internet and can't access the router GUI pages then you either have a cabling/wifi connection problem or the router has hung for some reason. If rebooting the router restores the internet then it's a pretty safe bet that the problem is caused by the router.0

Assuming the router isn't faulty - if it happens at the same time as not getting on the net, then the problem is more likely to be between your pc and your router (rather than router and outside world), ie wireless, or software firewall problem
start with pinging the router, then ipconfig /all!!

Unplug the router for a minute & plug in again.
Usually does the job on mine (DG834GT) with similar problems.0
